FRIDAY POST IT 9 - KEVIN
What did you learn about ALCOHOL & Teens
I learnt that actually majority of the teenagers of the world don't drink alcohol. It was around 7% of teens whom actually drink. For those who DO drink, it would affect them in a major way, as the human brain completes developing at the age of 25. So it would be recommended to NOT to drink as a teen, or potentially, EVER. I also learnt about BAC, which means Blood-Alcohol Concentration, which is most commonly used as a metric of alcohol intoxication for legal or medical purposes. One other thing that I learnt is that the younger the person is while drinking, the bigger the impact they will have. Teens are more affected than adults drinking alcohol.
How does Existentialism apply to me? And what is it?
a philosophical attitude associated especially with Heidegger, Jaspers,Marcel, and Sartre, and opposed to rationalism and empiricism, that stresses the individual's unique position as a self determining agent responsible for the authenticity of his or her choices.
Well it could apply to me, but not apply to me at the same time. I don't like doing things I shouldn't be doing for my free will and enjoyment. I usually follow the rules and eventually carry on life which will lead me to a fun place in the future. (Hopefully) But there could be times where I don't feel like doing what I should be doing, and procrastinate, or do the opposite.
